Helping the kids of Afghanistan

As most of you know my husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan. The main focus of our presence there is to help out the people get back on their feet. We are training their police, army and general populous. Tom goes out and meets the people and children often. What these kids want most is pens and notebooks to go to school. Not candy or toys but supplies they dont have so they can attend school.

So i'm not doing anything official but I'd like to be able to collect some money to be able to purchase pens and notebooks to send to these kids. My husband and his platoon would be able to take it with them when they go out and help out these kids in a useful way. I'll post pictures of the supplies before they go out and I am pretty sure we can get pictures of the kids receiving them.

If you are interested in helping out I can accept donations in two ways. One is to send it via Paypal. You would have to send it to tuneses@gmail.com . The other is if you can’t do paypal you can mail it to me. I'm not going to post my address so if you e-mail me (tuneses@gmail.com) and let me know how you heard of this then I will send you my address to mail in a donation.
