Brokk decided to grace us with his presence on May 21st 2009 at 23:01. At birth he weighed 8lbs 7oz and measured 22 inches.  I was induced at 09:30 at the Bethesda National Naval Medical Center. After 12 hours of labor I was not progressing and Brokk’s heart rate would drop after my contractions. The decision was made to deliver via cesarean section. Everything went well, Brokk and I were fine after the procedure.  Uncle Erich was in town for the week and was able to help me out and take some great pictures of Brokk at the hospital. We got to come home on Saturday May23rd. Brokk and I are now at home together enjoying the challenges of being new to the world and a new mother.  Now if only Brokk can stop peeing on me when I change his diaper…
